Want something to put a smile on your face? A few months ago, Mark was driving to his downtown St. Louis studio and saw this wonderful lady dancing on the sidewalk on Jefferson near Market Street. Mark had to pull over and strike up a conversation with the dancer, Erica McElrath. Erica told Mark she recently lost her job after 15 years as a hospice nurse, and thought it was important to remain positive and celebrate each and every day… Mark asked her if he could make a video and she obliged, happily of course! He calls this “Happy Lady”. Word has it, Erica’s been spotted in heavy traffic areas around town – so keep an eye out and give her a honk of encouragement!

This summer Brian was approached by agency Boxing Clever about a project featuring famed tattoo artist Corey Miller, owner of Six Feet Under and respected cast member of LA Ink. The assignment: to highlight Corey’s collaboration with TUACA Liqueur on the limited edition Perfect Chill label, designed by Corey and featuring his tattoo-style of the historic TUACA lion.

Brian shot an editorial library of images, promotional material as well as a making-of documentary for the agency. For the video portion of the project, Brian incorporated the talented media collective, Tangent Mind.

The event begins with lunch (gotta eat!) followed by a line up of agency speakers sharing their stories and insight. Speakers include Dayna Dion (Ogilvy Chicago), Sean Donohue (threadless.com), John January (Sullivan, Higdon, and Sink) and Tug McTight (Callahan Creeek). A cocktail hour follows.

Such exciting news! Katzman’s image was selected as the cover for the Communication Arts 2011 Photography Annual. This lifestyle image is from a shoot with agency Hoffman York (now HY Connect) for client Advocate Health Care. He had a great time working with the clients on this project and now to be honored with this is icing on the cake. Great work Mark!

You may have heard the rumblings that I’ve recently started repping Brian Cummings and I couldn’t be more pleased with this collaboration and what the future will bring.

Brian knows the business from both sides of the lens. As an art director and creative director, he spent 15 years working with the world’s best photographers and directors on advertising campaigns for global brands. A few years ago, his lifelong passion and pursuit of photography led him to start working from behind the camera as a commercial shooter and director at RGG Photography in St. Louis. As a photographer, Brian draws on his conceptual chops and design sensibilities to compose striking images that tell stories ranging from humorous to dramatic to surreal.
