“This project was a fantastic representation of meaningful work we love. We ‘invest’ in these projects, not because it’s a good buzzword, but because we really do care” – Chris Ryan, Once Films
Chris and the Once Films crew recently teamed up with the United Way of Greater St. Louis on a 3-segment video project. Shooting only one day for each segment, they packed in 5 locations while working through various uncontrollable challenges, including but not limited to – the weather.
The Once Films crew was given a lot of freedom and collaborated a lot in both production and post. As a rep, it’s always nice to hear the Clients are happy. In this case, the Client commented on how invested Chris and team were really invested in the project, not going through the motions or watching the time. Chris asked the Client to give Once Films a swing at a first cut and he agreed. The Client was thrilled with the results and decided it wasn’t necessary to physically oversee the edit. “We gave a Client some of their invaluable time back, and allowed him to focus on other important duties he had going on,” said Chris. “That kind of trust is especially huge given that it was our first year working together.”
